LEDERMIX™ Cement, being a hard setting material, is useful as a sedative dressing or lining under temporary or final restorations in teeth with reversible pulpitis – with or without pulp exposures.
Interim crowns can be cemented using LEDERMIX™ Cement to reduce inflammation due to preparation. Additionally, LEDERMIX™ Cement can be used in the management of cracked teeth with reversible pulpitis.
For primary teeth, LEDERMIX™ Cement can be used as a root filling material following canal cleaning and preparation.
Triamcinolone, released from LEDERMIX™ Cement can diffuse through the dentine to reach the pulp. In one study, 97.6% of teeth, treated with LEDERMIX™ Cement, had the reversible pulpitis resolved.
In addition, calcium hydroxide has beneficial effects on the healing of dental pulps and the formation of reparative dentine.
